Oil Gathering Centre

DSA was contracted by Sulaiman Alqudaibi Company to conduct a detailed stress analysis of three pipelines that were to be installed
as part of the New Gathering Centre project for the Kuwait Oil Company. The gathering centre was designed to produce 100 MBOPD of dry crude with a maximum of 240 MBWPD of water and 62.5 MMSCFD of associated gas.

DSA produced a written report for each of the pipelines, containing information on the computation model, the outputs and conclusions. The reports took into consideration:
• Thermal movement
• Pressure elongation
• Soil modulus
• Live loadings (from road crossings)
• Deflection of pipe
• SIF due to bends and joints
