Dennis Southam & Associates extensive history in FRP composite engineering has seen the company take on many projects. No two projects are the same, and our engineering team understand that. Our work across four major industries has provided us with challenges unique to different sectors. Our work from water to oil and gas gives our engineers a greater understanding of pipelines, plants and overall processes.
DSA was involved in remediation work at the Victorian Desalination Plant. Part of this work was the design review and subsequent redesign of parts of the GRP piping system.
DSA was involved in the design of the cooling water pipeline for a Combined Cycle Power Station located in Singapore. Cooling water pipe varied in sizes from DN1500 to DN2200.
DSA was contacted in response to large deformations which were observed during hydro testing of rectangular tanks. After an on-site inspection, DSA designed a repair for these tanks which would have made them fit for service.
DSA was involved in the construction supervision of the Tirraawarra-Mirramella 8” GRE Crude Oil Flowline Installation in the Cooper Basin.
DSA was involved in the design of 200 km of GRE pipe installed as part of the Santos GLNG project.
DSA provided the design, engineering and site supervision services for Sundrop Farm Pipeline Project.
Dennis Southam and Associates were engaged by Bamser, to provide an independent opinion on the validity of the GRP pipeline.
DSA was involved in the design of the odour covers at the Caboolture STP. The covers had a free span of 11m and were about 2m wide.
